You can join as an individual, a household or an organisation. There is a small fee to cover the running costs. For individuals and families this is:

Type Standard Concession
Individual £5.00 £2.50
Household £10.00 £5.00

The household fee is good value because it covers all the members of your family who live at the same address. Note that it is recommended that each member of the family signs up on the Website separately. This requires each member to have a separate email address. However, it is easy to create a new free email account - try searching for "free email" on Google. This has the advantage that each member of the family will be given the 5 introductory furzes. If you all use the same email address, you will only get 5 introductory furzes.

The concessionary fees are for children, students, pensioners and people on means-tested benefits.

The fees for organisations are as follows:

Type Fee
Not for profit organisation  £5.00
Business £10.00

After deciding which category you want to join under, you simply need to do the following:

  • Sign up to this Website following the instructions on the Using this Website page (see link on the left side).
  • Download the membership form from the Downloads page (use the link on the left side).
  • Print the form out, fill it in and sign it. Note that in signing the form you are agreeing to abide by the Rules and Constitution (which you can see by using the links on the left side).
  • Send the completed form with your fee to: Furzedown LETS c/o 63 Dahomey Road, London, SW16 6NB.
  • On receipt of your fee and approval of your application, the administrator will change your Website account to full membership, credit you with 5 furzes, and send you an email to let you know that this has been done.
  • You will then be able to enter your offers and wants on the Offers and Wants page and start trading.

If you want to join but don't have access to a printer, then send your name and address by email or by post to the above address and we will send you a paper copy of the form.

Note: Currently we do not have a non-online method of joining Furzedown LETS. If there is demand for a paper-based method of joining and using Furzedown LETS, we will try to provide one. Please let us know if you would like this service.
